Supporting our Oceanside American Little League community
Last month Resilient Squad was invited to participate in the Oceanside American Little Leagues opening ceremony. We are always looking for ways we can support our local community of Oceanside and were honored to have been invited.
The Oceanside American Little League has provided our local youth a safe and fun baseball experience. A place where children have the opportunity to participate in a structured athletic program. The support from the community including volunteers and sponsors is what makes it happen.
Johnny Jimenez is the President of the board and who also happens to be our cousin, invited us to come out to tell the community about our brand. Johnny was a member of the Oceanside Little League team in 2001 where they made it to the semi final round of the Little League World Series. As we arrived we noticed most of the vendors and volunteers already in place so we found our spot and set up shop.
Our booth was setup to give out information on our monthly group hikes and fitness boot camps. We know how important it is to stay healthy and active and our main goal is to help others reach their goals.
We walked over to one of the baseball diamonds where they where about to begin the ceremony. The kids were jumping around excited to see a helicopter coming in for a landing right on the outfield which was a cool site to see!
They made a few opening comments followed by the National Anthem which was sung by our very own niece Arianne Mendoza who is a former student at El Camino High School. She did an amazing job and gave me chills as I stood there tall and proud listening to her sing.
Next, they introduced the board members followed by the players of all the teams. Johnny came on and said a few motivational words and left us all inspired. You can hear his passion for the game and I know he is the perfect person to help run this league and help bring a championship to our city!
We gathered back at the booths and took a few photos with our local community. Our friend Nacho from Top Notch Barber Shop was on site giving away some free prizes.
Our niece Jaylene from Oceanside High School Cheerleading Team was also there along with other family and friends showing support for our community.
We handed out information about Resilient Squad and what we do and how we can help you overcome adversity.
Many of us struggle trying to find inspiration or motivation for our daily lives and don’t know where to start. Resilient Squad was created to empower those that have been knocked down by life to bounce back higher.
